Emerging into the world of Silversmithing I have created this tiny silver Mustard Pot. It measures just under 5cm tall and actually pours liquids from its spout. I am thrilled and delightes with this little pot and hope to soon be making some other tableware. Watch this space!!

This week I am working on a new video which I am hoping will be out any moment! My brother Richard Lane has written and produced the music and, our friend, Ann Raja, has mastered it and it should be ready for viewing very soon so watch this space.

I have also been working on an engagement ring which has been to the Assay Office in Birmingham and now been sent off to the stone setters. Although I have done a masterclass in stone setting, I dont do enough of it to risk a precious engagement ring so I am leaving that to the experts, a company of stone setters in Hatton Garden. Unfortunately, we cannot become expert in all fields - even Carl Faberge used different professionals for different jobs so I feel i'm in good company.

Putting the finishing touches on a few pieces ready to be sent out to customers. I will upload pictures as I can.

Hi

I'm Chris Lewis, the designer and maker of all things in The Secret Wardrobe. I wanted to introduce myself and tell you a little about what I do. As you will see from my website I graduated from University in July 2015 and have since been working to produce a range of pieces that I hope will appeal to people everywhere. Although I specialised in Jewellery Design whilst at University, I didnt want to be restricted to jewellery making and i also wanted to create special pieces that identify and reflect the essence of their owner.

With this in mind I have spent the last few months, designing and perfecting and making a small wardrobe which you will see on this website. It has taken many months and a lot of effort to get it right and I have been thankful for the help of Laura at Bespoke Laser uk (www.bespokelaseruk.co.uk) and Gavin from Wentwood Timber (www.wentwoodtimbercentre.co.uk) who supplied me with beautiful English wood like the oak that I made the first wardrobe out of. Who would have known it was so hard to source good wood at the right depth!

My goal in these wardrobes and (hopefully) in everything else I do is to create bespoke pieces that reflect their owners. Each wardrobe I make will not only be a beautiful box but will also reflect the people that commission it.

I hope you will join with me for the journey
